Nail wraps have taken the nail industry by storm in recent years, providing a versatile and creative alternative to traditional polish. From eyecatching patterns and bright colors to solids and glitter, there’s definitely a style for everyone! But what are they exactly and how do they work?
Unlike gels and acrylics, fingernail wraps do not require a UV light to cure. Instead, they are applied and cured in the same way as a manicure, using cuticle oil to lubricate the adhesive and a wooden cuticle stick to shimmy and lift the wrap. They can be worn for up to two weeks and are a great option for clients with damaged natural nails or those who want to switch up their manicure routine.

Apply Wraps
When applying nail wraps, be sure to wipe a prep pad over each nail to remove any dirt or oils. Then, line up the wrap with the nail and press it down, smoothing out any wrinkles or bubbles. Once the wrap is on, it’s best to gently stretch it and use your fingers or a cuticle pusher to ensure a perfect fit (and avoid accidentally pulling it off). Some brands of nail wraps may need trimming for a custom look, but be careful not to cut too much off!
After the wraps have been removed, a little PN Nail Serum or PN Nail & Cuticle Oil can help smooth and moisturize your nails. If necessary, a gentle filing in a downward motion can also help get rid of any leftover nail wrap.
